The Lovely Month of May
It's May. It's May. The lovely month of May. (Can you name the musical?) Happy May Day! My sweetie girl came home from school today talking about May Day. She decided she would pick some flowers, put them in a basket, put them on our 80 year old neighbor's doorstep and ring the bell. Too bad I emptied the garage this morning and donated 2 boxes full of baskets! Goodwill was happy, sweetie girl not so happy. Plastic cup, she decided, would do. After all the talking about May Day, and the fun of ringing the doorbell and hiding, sweetie boy got into the swing of things too. So the giggling gaggle made May Day cards, picked flowers from the yard and put them in a cup. It was a challenge for them because I am NO gardener, I tell ya. They were having so much fun they did a test practice on me. They also picked flowers for their good friends, and off we went to leave them at their front doorsteps. They had so much spring fun that it was infectious. And they received a lovely surprise on our doorstep as we arrived home this evening after soccer practice. Two beautiful yellow roses left by friends. (I was going to take a picture of them in their vase but my camera went kaput. Sorry!) This beats ding-dong-door-ditch and flaming-brown-bags any day! Happy May Day!

OTN: I'm still creeping along on the first side of Orangina. I haven't been able to spend big chunks of time on it, just a little here and there. I will perservere!
